For Sunday the 11th November - 11.00am

This coming Sunday (11th November) we will be privileged to witness God at work in the baptism of Liliana, daughter of James and Mary Jowy. We will be thinking about what it means that God gives us new birth by water and the Spirit in Holy Baptism, and with Nicodemus, we will be asking, ‘How is it possible to be born again?’ As we contemplate these high and lofty things, we’ll be reminded of the Lord’s continued work of regeneration in our lives as we daily return to our baptism in repentance and faith to receive His gifts of forgiveness, life and salvation.

I’ll be preaching on John 3:1-8 and you’ll be able to hear the sermon in English, Arabic and possibly Kiswahili! That’s because pastoral ministry assistant Michael Jang of the Dandenong congregation will join us to translate the sermon for our African brothers and sisters and to assist at the altar.

The celebration of Liliana’s new life in Christ will continue after the service with a shared lunch.

Don’t forget that following lunch, Pastor Allan Heppner from the Victorian District will be leading us in a discussion to consider our future needs to best serve the community to which we’ve been called.

Divine Service will begin at 11.00am.

I look forward to enjoying your company for a VERY full day!

God’s peace,
Pastor Matt
