This Sunday service begins at 11am and will be followed by lunch.
It will be a day of great rejoicing as 10 adults are confirmed in the faith and welcomed to the Lord's table during the service. These dear brothers and sisters underwent instruction over the past 12 months and some have been worshipping with us for quite a number of years. After working through language barriers and rejoicing in the faith we share, I can't wait to confirm these dear saints and serve them the body and blood of our Lord Jesus.
The readings for Sunday's service are as follows:
Deuteronomy 30:9-14 A call to obey God whose word is very near
Colossians 1:1-14 Paul's thanksgiving and prayer
Luke 10:25-37 The parable of the good Samaritan
I'll be preaching on the gospel and rather than say too much myself, you can simply watch this short video in preparation - Pastor Fisk seems to have read my mind this week and manages to summarise my sermon pretty well!
Please be sure to stay for lunch and members, please remember to bring some food along to share.
The Lord bless and keep you all,
Pastor Matt
